The approach mainly used is a Psychodynamic approach, which can be described as linking current life difficulties to relevant early childhood experiences, which may be affecting one’s life at a later stage. It is important to note that each individual may suit a different intervention and this can be determined by their unique circumstances, environments as well as their needs and process.
I provide a space that facilitates a safe environment, allowing a child, adult, couple or family to make meaning of their difficulties, while providing a containing and supportive space to explore their emotions.
Therapy allows for a therapist and patient to build a healthy, safe rapport, facilitating an environment that allows for corrective experiences, various perspective and introspection with the aid of meaning making.
